Legal Services to assist individuals in need of legal representation in Social Security disability appeals/hearings, preparation for advance directives, wills, debtor/creditor matters, health insurance cancellations or denials, discrimination issues, family law situations, and consultation (HIV and the Law).
Prevention services include street outreach, HIV educational community presentations, ongoing prevention education, outreach to hard-to-reach HIV positive individuals to encourage medical visits and medication compliance.
HIV education provides
essential information to new clients and new information to current clients.
Primary medical services are provided by Millennium Family Practice at HERO's site under Njide Udochi, MD, MPH, FAAFP.

Financial assistance to eligible clients helps cover rent/utilities, transitional housing and emergency shelter payments, limited prescription co-pays, eyeglasses, public transportation, and emergency food vouchers.
Housing services help clients find housing with the help of HOPWA (Housing Opportunities for People with AIDS) and other HUD grants.
Substance abuse counseling helps clients overcome a chief barrier to medical compliance and self-reliance.
Volunteers assist with program activities,
fundraising, and special events.
